Thank you for your interest in my work as a green European politician!
My green friends call me a European with passion, tenacity, and assertiveness;
my colleagues from the other groups in the European Parliament got to know me as a European with passion, tenacity and assertiveness.
Europe is diversity, as can also be seen in my broad policy portfolio. For more than 20 years I have been committed to our common Europe.
Since 2014 I am a member of the European Parliament, since 2019 I am leading the Austrian Greens‘ delegation in the EP with a focus on social, women’s, budget and regional policy.
Our continent is called old Europa. I see this as an advantage, because we can and must learn from many experiences of working together and, above all, fighting against each other for a long time. But I also see this as a disadvantage, because the old way of thinking, the nationalistic, the patriarchal, the capitalist-exploitative legacy is still haunting our Europe anew.
We Greens stand for the new common Europe, a democratic, constitutional, social, gender-equitable and ecologically sustainable, climate-protecting Europe.
In my daily work in the European Parliament, I am committed to such a European Union – as a European with passion, tenacity and assertiveness!
